Milan Kapel, our General Manager has been invited to speak at next years National Golf Course Operators Association’s convention at the end of February in Las Vegas.  He was asked because of the Six tee areas we now have at Berkshire Hills.  He is on a panel that includes Barney Adams of Adams Golf, Arthur Little and Jann Leeming of The Little Family Foundation.  The subject is The Power of FUN!  To read about all of the speakers click here.

Back in the days when Chesterland had one traffic signal, one drug store and a lot less traffic, Milan Kapel, Sr. and a few other friends saw an opportunity to move East and purchase what is now known as Berkshire Hills Country Club. From 1965 until 1980 it was operated as a "private" country club, where members could enjoy a gourmet dinner and dance in the Clubhouse after a delightful day of golf, swimming or a game or two of tennis, Today, 40+ years later, the swim club is still operated as a private club, however, the 18 hole championship golf course and the clubhouse that is one of the premier catering facilities in North Eastern Ohio, are now open to the public.  Click Here for more History on how Berkshire became Berkshire
